I got some expo dry erase board marker on my friend's white sneaker, and he says that if i can't get the stain out, then i have to buy him another pair of shoes($80). How can i get the stain out? the sneakers are white and are made out of a close-woven synthetic material.

that sucks...just try simple soap and water. and if that doesn't work..not too sure if googone will work on that. go to a shoe store and ask for a cleaning product for the shoe and that won't damage the fabric. the marker isn't permanent so it should be easier to wash off.

Reply:Maybe you can try some nail polish remover on the spot (if there's no printed design on the shoe). I've tried nail polish remover to remove ballpoint pen marks before, but I don't know if it'll remove marker stains. Wish you luck though!
