How can I keep the designs on my shoe from smearing off?

I recently bought a pair of shoes that are like sneakers. Their sides are made of a smooth soft material that's almost like fake leather but not.

I doodled and drew all over them with Roseart colorful permanent markers. Recently I've noticed that some of the designs have smeared and rubbed off, what with rain and other things. I was quite upset, because I worked hard on those shoes and I really like them.

My mom suggested there might be some sort of spray-on fixative that would keep the ink from rubbing off. One person I asked said a certain kind of hairspray would do that. Another person said that I should use the sprays used to waterproof things on my shoes. Does anyone have any ideas? Give me details please.

spray clear acrylic sealer- found in craft and some hardware stores it will keep your beautiful designs where they belong!just be sure to spray them lightly .
Reply:In stores like footlocker they sell waterproof sprays. I've bought a few of them and they work really well maybe you should try it. I spray them on my suede timberlands to keep the colour from getting ruined by water and it works.
Reply:Do not wear them in the rain.
