Blisters on back of foot with new shoes?

I just got new shoes and am starting to get blisters on the heel of one foot. Buying shoes is not my best area. Do I continue wearing them and hope the shoe material will 'soften' or give up with these pair? What do/would you do?

They'll soften up, just keep wearing them. I just put bandaids on the back of my heel so they won't rub so bad at first.
Reply:Gone through that with every pair of shoes I've ever bought, unless they were mules. Usually after a while they will get broken in. Once your shoes get use to your feet and vice versa. Don't get rid of them, but Dr Scholl's has some great products for your shoes these days. Check out your beauty department in one of these you get everything you need stores. Like target or walmart. Hope this helps you~
Reply:I would continue to wear them and soften them, but you say that its at the ball of your feet that you are getting a blister, so maybe try putting in some gel pads so that there will be a cushion when you step. If you notice that your feet still hurt or the shoes just wont soften than just discontinue the use and buy some new ones. Hope this helps!!
Reply:That actually happened to me today!...I just wore my new falts to school. Thank goodness it was a 1/2 day!

You have some choices...

1. Wear socks with them... that cover your heel.

2. Buy some of these.... They're actually used if your shoes slide off your foot but they'll help with blisters! Just stick them to the heel of your shoe!

3. Tough it out!

4. Don't wear them - or return them if u can...

If I were you, I'd go with #2!!!!

Reply:Try a cushioned band-aid. That helps to prevent your blisters from getting worse while you break them in. At the drugstore or even online, they have pads for the back of your shoe if your willing to pay a couple extra bucks.
Reply:try wearing two pairs of socks. It worked in footaball.
Reply:I would say that u just need to break them in. Most of the time the material softens up a bit and it more comfortable. However, if the shoes are bothering u too much buy some clear gel pad things to put on the heel. They work like a charm!
