I have a shoe that has too many bright colors that I need to wear for a drama production. I am planning on putting duct tape to color the colors but I don%26#039;t want to ruin the shoe (I%26#039;m going to tear the tape off afterwards). Will duct tape affect shoe color?
Will duct tape remove the colors of a shoe? aka are shoe colors painted on or part of the material?
Depends on the shoe %26amp; the material it%26#039;s made of! There%26#039;s no set rule for this.. try scratching the material a little on a little-obvious spot like the inside of the heel, and try to find out... but you may be better off with some other footwear or another kind of covering, tape leaves sticky residue that will probably be a pain to clean off even if the color doesn%26#039;t come off.
