I have a shoe float that was made for my daycare, can I deduct the paint and materials used for minor repairs?

My husband%26#039;s work built the shoe float a couple years ago, we keep it in storage and only bring it out for a couple of parades in the area we live. My daycare name is on the shoe float, I use it as advertising. I know I cannot deduct the actual shoe float, as we did not purchase the materials. But can I deduct the paint and materials needed for touch up repairs each year?

Sure. You use it to promote the business. That%26#039;s a business expense.
