First pet foods, Now antifreeze in Chinese tooth pastes -?

China is now making toothpaste for US, lethal chemical diethylene glycol was found in the toothpaste.


The brands are undisclosed.





I bet we know more about where the materials in our shoes are from, than where the ingredients in our foods come from. We need origins of ingredients labeling.

Being Chinese and having family in China, this doesn't surprise me. It's not just toothpaste and pet food. THere's fake medication, soap products with high levels of bacteria etc.


The US government has never banned importing products from China but they've given warnings. They have warned that the only things being imported from China should be clothes, jewelry, purses, sunglasses etc. At least with those no one is going to get hurt.

altho i dislike alot of things about the chinese government (and i'm asian), but its illogical to get pissed at the chinese... the real enemy is lax federal oversight
