Does anyone know of any companies (food and others) who give away their products when they have a surplus?

My sorority is trying very hard to collect donations (food, drinks, clothing for all ages, educational material, art, shoes, movies, music, etc) to help those in need. Unfortunately, we have found very few companies willing to simply give away their overstock. So, if anyone knows of any companies that we could contact to get more information regarding donations we would greatly appreciate it. Believe me, any information that you could give us will be useful, so please don't hesitate if you help.

Thanks In Advance

Panera Bread in Denver used to donate their leftover bakery goods to nonprofits each night. Often there was even too much for the NP's to take. I believe it was a company wide practice.
Reply:In NYC we have the CITY HARVEST which collects leftover food from restaurants and grocery stores.
